
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jayek Jimenez (born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[5] is a Mexican and American actor as well as film producer. In Mexico she began her career by playing the character in the role of Teresa in the television show (1989-1991) and El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she received an Ariel Award. With appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly made her mark as a star in Hollywood. Hayek's role as Frida the painter in Frida (2002) in which she also produced was what produced by Hayek, made Hayek the first Mexican actress to receive the Academy Award [6]. In addition, it earned her the Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films and acted in action-oriented film Once Upon a Time in Mexico in the years following.
