Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born on April 10, 1986) is a former model and actress from India who primarily appeared in Hindi movies. In 2004 Ayesha Takia took home the Filmfare Best Debut Award for her performance as the lead on Taarzan The Wonder Car which made her debut as an actor. The actress later appeared in films like Paathshaala (2011) Wanted (2009) Salaam-E-Ishq (2006) and Socha Na Tha (2007). Her first appearance was in an Complan commercial. Shahid Kapoor was her co-star in the iconic I'm Complan Guy I'm Complan gal commercial. Her appearance in the remixed song Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin came equally notable. Her fame grew due to the success of this hit song in India's time of remixes. In the following months, she was receiving offers for Bollywood film projects. Takia had to wait a while before the release of Taarzan The Wonder Car, which had been planned to be released to be a part of Socha Na Tha. However, production problems made it difficult to release the film. Ayesha proved her moral courage in voicing her disapproval of the beliefs that she shares with the Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party's MLA Abu Azmi regarding punishing victims of sexual assault.
