Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress born and raised in Orange County. At the age of 5, she left Morocco for California. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was the same year she got her breakthrough in acting. After making small appearances on NCIS and Leverage Pernas was offered the role as Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap she was offered the role of Catalina on Jane the Virgin. The model, fluent in four languages, has since appeared on The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also played in the Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From 2019 to 2020, she portrayed Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas has been engaged to Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The relationship began following Chrishell Stause and This Is Us actress split in November of 2018. Pernas Hartley tied the knot privately with Pernas in May 2021.
